Cairo Egypt Restaurants

Egyptian dishes are good at any time of day, see this list of 20 traditional Egyptian dishes you must eat when you visit Cairo, where you can find them on every corner of Cairo. This list includes some of my favorite restaurants in Cairo that you should definitely try if you are a tourist visiting Egypt and are interested in tasting local favorite dishes. Koshary is the ultimate Egyptian street food and can be found anywhere in the city, so keep your eyes peeled for it.

I tried Koshari at an Egyptian takeaway in London and then tracked it down to enjoy the marina in Hurghada, Egypt, where the photo above was taken.

The Corniche el-Nile is lined with many restaurants, some of which are the best in Cairo. Nairu is located at the corner of El Azhar Street and Al Qasr Street, right on Egypt's main street.

The other central restaurant in Cairo is located in the Sharia Champollion, where Abu Tarek's restaurant is a particularly popular Kushari restaurant, frequented by locals and visitors. Go to Cairo and eat in Farahat, visit Al Azhar Khan Al Khalili or walk on Al Azhar Street and take a walk in the heart of Cairo's Old City, just off the corner of Al Qasr Street.

Staying in downtown Cairo is the best choice, as you will find more traditional Egyptian vegan dishes that are just a few steps away from the "traditional" Egyptian vegan foods. Downtown Cairo is not the place to go with little money, but it is the best place in Cairo to find good restaurants without having to search long enough, especially in Sharia and Orabi. In the suburbs Doqqi and Mohandiseen there are some quite expensive restaurants, which will not disappoint for the cheapest food in Egypt. Take a look at our guide to Cairo's best vegan restaurants to see a list of the most popular restaurants.

You can probably come up with many more dishes to try in Egypt, but these are some of our favorites. To make things even easier during my visit, here is a list of all vegan restaurants in Cairo that I personally tried.

My favorite Koshary food in Cairo is Koshary Abou Tarek, but you can forget the best version in any of the restaurants listed below. My favorite and recommended in Cairo, and the one I recommend most is the place on this list. Cairo has a long list of restaurants offering a wide selection of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, but it also has a relatively new Indian restaurant. Manipuri is located in the 5-star restaurant with an area of 4,000 square meters and offers generous menus that will surely take you to India and back.

Andrea's has one of the most limited menus and has long been the most popular and best restaurant in Cairo, and for good reason: it serves the best stuffed pigeons in the city (and I'm not kidding, I mean, you shouldn't hide yourself). Abou El Sid is another great place to eat authentic Egyptian dishes in a great atmosphere. With truly over - the - top noses from all over Egypt, this Cairo restaurant is known to serve a true mix of truly top noses. You get a taste of what it is like to live as an Egyptian in Egypt, and also of the local restaurants.

The menu is not for the faint hearted, but it will be an experience you will not forget. If you behave, Abou El Sid will give you a great time with the best food in the city and a good atmosphere.

This list is not a list of fancy restaurants, but a collection of what people eat in real Cairo. This list contains a lot of restaurants serving Egyptian food, although having Beeja here is something very special.

The first place that comes to mind when you eat "Egyptian food" is Abou El-Sid, and the restaurant has become synonymous with Egyptian gourmet. The food in Egypt is delicious, varied, mildly spiced, combining flavors and cuisines from many parts of the world with a history that has brought different nationalities to Egypt and the Middle East. The Xodo is close to the First Nile Boat and First Residence and is the only Brazilian restaurant we have in Egypt. This café is so famous that it is named after the father of its owner and owner, the famous chef and restaurant owner Al-Azhar.

The main branch is located in downtown Cairo, near Tahrir Square and the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, but it has also opened a second branch in Al-Azhar and a third in the old city of Cairo. You have to take a look at the restaurant Zayed Al Nahyan, The only one of its kind in Egypt, and you will also have peaks in a number of other restaurants.
