Cairo Egypt

A new city will be built that will one day replace old Cairo as Egypt's capital, and it will be built on the winding Nile, which seamlessly integrates the old and the new into a dynamic metropolis.

South of the modern city is Memphis, the capital of ancient Egypt, founded by Menes of Tanis to unite the two kingdoms of Upper and Lower Egypt. When the Persians conquered Egypt in 525 BC, they built a new city on the eastern shore of the Nile, which was called the Babylon of Egypt when it was north of Cairo and west of Memphis.
